The new wet paint shop in Dívčí Hrad is now open. We're taking ISMM & JB Machinery one step further again.

We are pleased to announce that yesterday, on April 29, 2025, we officially opened our new wet paint shop in Dívčí Hrad. This marks another significant step in the modernization and expansion of our production capabilities, and it confirms that the transformation of ISMM & JB Machinery a.s. is headed in the right direction. The state-of-the-art facility is designed for painting engineering components up to 20 meters in length. Along with this project, we are also creating five new jobs.

Our company, ISMM & JB Machinery a.s., formerly known as Strojírna Jan Bacho, has been part of the ISMM Group since October 2021. Since then, we have undergone a fundamental transformation—not just visually, but especially in terms of technology and organization. We’ve stabilized our workforce at around 80 employees and significantly expanded our machinery—investing in new lasers, press brakes, and other equipment. From a company that was once on the brink of survival, we have built a modern, thriving business with an annual turnover of approximately CZK 150 million. A major factor in this success has been our integration into the ISMM Group, which has provided us with stability, new orders, and managerial know-how.

The newly opened paint shop is a symbolic culmination of this transformation. It represents a major step toward technological self-sufficiency. The project was developed in cooperation with the municipality of Dívčí Hrad, which had previously constructed a 30 × 17-meter hall on its land as part of a program to support disadvantaged regions with high unemployment. When the original partner withdrew from the project, we stepped in and proposed using the hall for building a paint shop. Thanks to close collaboration with Mayor Jan Bezděk, we successfully brought the project to completion.

The new paint shop is located just one kilometer from our main headquarters, in the direction of Osoblaha. Following modifications to the original construction project, a change in usage, and the installation of cutting-edge technology, we are now ready to begin trial operations. The facility is equipped with advanced wet paint shop technology, including chemical pre-treatment with phosphating, exhaust and drying units, and an in-house paint mixing room. As a result, we can offer high-quality surface treatment for steel parts up to 7 × 20 meters in size, further expanding our range of services.

ISMM Group now consists of six companies employing more than 600 people. We achieve an annual turnover exceeding CZK 1.6 billion and rank among the 100 largest family-owned businesses in the Czech Republic, according to Forbes. Our flagship is ISMM Production & Business Cooperation s.r.o., followed by ISMM & JB Machinery a.s. in Dívčí Hrad and ISMM & EGAS s.r.o. in Pustějov. The group also includes ISMM & TESO s.r.o., a manufacturer of terrazzo staircases, and in the hospitality sector, Hotel Gong, Hotel Šipka in Štramberk, and the Mlýn Kozlovice guesthouse.
