Flood announcement and its impact
Unfortunately we have to announce that over the weekend of 14-15 September we were also the victims of unprecedented flooding, many times exceeding the scale of the 1997 disaster.
Our ISMM Group premises suffered considerable damage, with the restaurant and pension Mlýn Kozlovice being the most affected, where the access bridge collapsed, then the Bravantice plant, and finally the Štítina plant, where up to 30 cm of water poured in during Sunday afternoon. Considering its size, the Město Albrechtice plant was relatively moderately affected and other sites such as Jistebník 01 and 02, TESO, EGAS Pustějov, JB Dívčí Hrad and Hotel Gong Štramberk suffered only slight damage. The ITP – ISMM Tennis Park remains in normal operation.
Repairs and restoration of all affected facilities to their original state will take months and damage is estimated in the millions CZK. Fortunately, there have been no reported impacts on the health of ISMM Group employees, which is a positive news. This event is very sad, especially for Mlýn Kozlovice, where basic reconstruction was recently completed. The crisis team, led by the company owner Miloslav Cvacek, is already actively involved in coordinating the next steps and planning the recovery.
We are confident that together we will overcome this difficult situation. Thank you for your support during this difficult time and for for the dedication of everyone who has worked to assist. Together, we will work to restore our sites and return to normal operations.
